Inês Martins
Inês Martins is a doctoral candidate in Biomedicine at the University of Beira Interior, where she also completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on the resistance potential of gastrointestinal bacteria, taking particular interest in the evolutionary dynamics triggered by subclinical antibiotic concentration exposure in the context of Campylobacter jejuni infections,
within a One Health framework. The development of her project is supported by a national collaboration
with the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge, under the supervision of Professor Susana Ferreira and co-supervision of Doctors Mónica Oleastro and Alexandra Nunes.
