My name is Cristiana Dias, I'm a master's student in Biochemistry at the University of Beira Interior working on the development of an "Innovative nanoemulsion with antimicrobial activity for application to skin wounds". Due to the emerging need to create new therapies, the main aim of this project is to create a nanoemulsion with antimicrobial activity. In this way, reducing the need to use antibiotics to treat skin wounds and becoming a viable alternative to the problem associated with resistance. This work has been developed under the supervision of Professor Susana Ferreira and co-supervision of Professor Adriana Santos.
