I hold a Master's degree in Microbiology (University of Brasilia) and now I'm a PhD student in University of Beira Interior. My research focuses on developing game-changing hybrid molecules of fluoroquinolones and phenothiazines to dismantle bacterial defenses (efflux pumps) in the fight against AMR, a global health crisis. This research ignites me because of the possibility of developing a new weapon to conquer even superbugs. This work has been developed under the supervision of Professor Susana Ferreira and co-supervision of Professor Samuel Silvestre and Professor Fernanda Domingues.
